Checking Progress: Course Report and Location Content Report

What this job is

Two reports tell you how training is going in your location. The Course Report looks at one course across all your agents. The Location Content Report looks at your whole location and lets you drill down from a category to a course to a single chapter. Use the Course Report for weekly follow up on what you assigned. Use the Location Content Report when you need the full picture or one exact score.

The Course Report

  1. Open the Course Report from your reports.
  2. Pick the course you want to check.
  3. Read the list of agents. For each agent you can see whether they have not started, are in progress, passed, or failed.
  4. Click into an agent to see chapter level detail: which chapters are done, which are open, and where they stopped.
  5. Note the names who are overdue or stuck, and follow up with them the same day.

Review submitted work

Some chapters ask the agent to upload a file or write an answer. That work waits for a person to review it, and in your location that person is you.
  1. Open the Course Report for the course.
  2. Find the submissions waiting for review.
  3. Open each one and read or view what the agent sent.
  4. Mark it pass or fail. If you fail it, write a short note saying what to fix. The agent sees the note and can redo the work.
  5. Clear your review list every week. An agent waiting on your pass cannot finish the course, so a slow review looks like a stuck course to them.

The Location Content Report

  1. Open the Location Content Report. It covers your location only.
  2. Start at the category list to see overall progress by subject.
  3. Click a category to see its courses.
  4. Click a course to see its chapters.
  5. At each level you can see who passed, who failed, and the test scores, right down to one agent on one chapter.
Use this report when an agent says they finished but your Course Report view disagrees, or when a broker or team leader asks for exact numbers. The detail is here.

Ask AI Insights

BPS has an AI helper for reporting questions, called AI Insights. Instead of building a report by hand, you type a plain question, like which agents have not finished a course, and it pulls the answer from your location’s data. Use it for quick questions between your weekly report checks. Check its answer against the Course Report the first few times you use it, so you learn what it is good at.

What success looks like

You can answer three questions in under five minutes: who finished, who is stuck, and who has not started. Submitted work never waits on you more than a week, and no agent is surprised by a deadline they missed weeks ago.

Common problems

A finished agent still shows as in progress. A chapter may be waiting on your review, or a test chapter may need one more try. Open the chapter detail for that agent and look at what is open. Scores look wrong for the whole course. Check whether you are reading the right location and the right course. Then check the chapter detail before you question the numbers. You need numbers across more than your location. That view runs above Manager level. Run the Location Content Report for your numbers and ask BPS support for anything wider.
