Your Certificates and Licenses

One place for both kinds of proof

Your certificates page in BPS holds two kinds of records:
  • Certificates you earn inside BPS by finishing courses.
  • Credentials you earned outside BPS and add yourself, like your state real estate license, a designation, or a class certificate from another school.
Keeping both in one place means you, and your Manager, can see at a glance that you are trained and licensed and current. You only see and manage your own records here. You cannot see or change anyone else’s.

The certificates you earn in BPS

When you finish a course that carries a certificate, the certificate lands on your certificates page. From that page you can:
  1. See each certificate you have earned.
  2. Open a certificate to view it.
  3. Print it or save a copy for your files.
Check this page after you finish a certification course. If the course shows as complete in My Report Card but no certificate appears, tell your Manager.

Adding a credential you earned outside BPS

  1. Open your certificates page.
  2. Find the option to add or submit an external certification or license.
  3. Fill in the details:
    • The category, such as State Licensing
    • The name of the license or certificate
    • The ID or license number, if it has one
    • The date it was issued
    • The date it expires
  4. Attach a digital copy of the document, such as a PDF, a scan, or a clear photo.
  5. Submit it.
Keep a clean digital copy of every license and certificate on your phone or computer. A clear photo works when a scan is not handy.

What the statuses mean

Your list can be filtered by status: All Certifications, Valid, Pending, Expiring, Expired, or Not Started.
  • Valid: your credential is current and approved.
  • Pending: you submitted it and it is waiting for review.
  • Expiring: the expiration date is coming up soon. Start your renewal now.
  • Expired: the date has passed. Renew it and update your record right away.
  • Not Started: the credential was assigned to you, but you have not submitted your proof yet.
Some brokerages require a Manager to approve each submission before it counts as valid. If your status stays on Pending, your Manager has not reviewed it yet. Give them time, then follow up once.

How to keep your record current

  1. Check your certificates list once a month.
  2. When you renew a license, update your record with the new dates and the new document.
  3. When you earn a new designation, add it the same week, while the document is in your hands.
  4. If a status looks wrong, for example a valid license shows as Expired, tell your Manager and share a copy of the current document.

What success looks like

Every certificate you earned in BPS is on your page, your outside licenses are added with the right dates, and nothing you hold shows as Expired.

Why it matters

Your brokerage has to prove that every agent is licensed and current. Keeping your record up to date in BPS protects you and the brokerage, and it saves you from a last minute scramble at renewal time.
