Submitting Work in a Course
Why courses ask for work
Some chapters ask for more than watching a video. They ask you to prove the work. That can be a file you upload, like a script, a plan, or a worksheet, or a written answer you type into the course. Submitted work is part of your training record. Your Manager can review it, and you can see it again later from My Report Card. Before you start
- Read the chapter directions all the way through first.
- Know what the chapter wants: a file, a written answer, or both.
- If it wants a file, have the file saved on your device before you open the upload step. A clear scan or a clean photo of a paper document works when no file exists yet.
How to upload a file
- Open the chapter that asks for the work.
- Find the upload or attach control in the chapter.
- Choose the file from your device.
- Wait until the screen shows the file as attached or uploaded.
- Submit the chapter, if it asks you to submit after uploading.
How to send a written answer
- Type your answer in the answer box in the chapter.
- Read it once before you submit. Check that it answers the full question.
- Click submit.
How to check what you sent
- Open My Report Card from the Main Menu.
- Click the course name to open the chapter breakdown.
- Find the chapter where you submitted the work.
- Open it to see the file you uploaded or the text you wrote.
What happens after you submit
Some submitted work needs a Manager review. Your Manager reads or views what you sent and marks it as passed or not passed.- Passed: the chapter counts as complete.
- Not passed: the work does not count yet. Ask your Manager what to fix, fix it, and send the work again if the chapter allows it.
What success looks like
Your file or answer shows in the chapter, you can see it again from My Report Card, and the chapter moves to complete once any needed review is done.Problems you may hit
The file will not upload
- Check the file is a common type, like a PDF, a photo, or a document.
- Try a smaller or clearer copy of the file.
- Try a fresh sign in, then upload again.
- If it still fails, note the exact message on the screen and ask for help using Article 12.
